I manage properties. With a large property, there were many units. I am assigning a board to each unit so I can keep track of the conditions of the units. Right now, there's no easy way to search or scroll quickly to the eg, 75th board. Or search unit #705. Please help see what can be done to allow me to get to a particular board quickly?
Hi @Franklin Tseng,
Clara here. I’m part of the team behind Simple Tables for Confluence, so just to be transparent this answer comes from a vendor perspective.
I found your use case very interesting. Managing many properties where each unit has its own board can quickly make navigation difficult, especially when you need to jump directly to something like unit #705 or board #75.
One approach we often see working well in these situations is creating a central directory table in Confluence. Each row represents a unit and includes a link to the corresponding board. Instead of browsing through many boards manually, you can simply search the unit number and open the correct board immediately.
With Simple Tables, this directory behaves like a lightweight spreadsheet inside Confluence.
Example: Property directory with 1000 units
Imagine a property setup with 1000 units across several towers organized in a single table like this:
...
With this structure you can:
Another useful thing you can do with a table like this is grouping units by properties, which makes it easier to get an overview.
For example, grouping units by Building:
This makes it much easier to explore large datasets and quickly understand how units are distributed.
You could also group by things like:
This can be useful for things like maintenance planning or inspections.
If this approach looks close to your use case and you'd like help setting up the table structure, feel free to contact us directly and we’ll be happy to help
