Amir

In order to get notifications for due dates, you need to be subscribed to the board, list, or card.  Are you?  Also, the due date notifications come in 24 hours before the time is due. Is that your expectation?

Hey, thanks for the reply.

Yes, I am subscribed to everything (list or card).

but the 24 hours before thing is not my expectation which is probably why seems to me like its not working as it should.

I expect Due Date to work like a reminder... so if I need to call someone on a specific hour - I put that into the Due Date and expect it to notify me at that exact time.

is there a way to do this?

There's not a way to change the configuration within Trello, however there's a workaround using Butler Automation.

To add custom automation using Butlerbot, follow these steps:

1) Add Butlerbot to your board here: https://www.butlerfortrello.com/dashboard.html
-- A new list will be created titled "Butler"
2) Add a new card to the Butler list, using the follow text minus the parentheses

(the moment a card is due, post comment "@username, This card is due!")

@username should be your username.  You can change "the moment" to "two hours, one hour, six hours", however much in advance you want to receive the notification. This will add a comment to the card, mentioning you in the comment, and trigger a notification.

Let me know if you have any further questions about setting this up.

hey Matthew,

thanks so much again.

so I've decided to simply make myself get used to put the "due date" to a time+24 hours.
that way it will trigger an alert.

kind of a mind-f*ck I guess but tbh Trello is so perfect... I simply cannot grasp why they won't think about regular alerts.

well, after messing around with Butler its defiantly what I was looking for.
ignore my previous comment... this was very helpful.

thanks.
