Search function in Trello still not what it should be

I've asked about the search function in the past. It has never been fixed. The search option on the phone app works great. I go to the board I want to search through, and it searches through the cards posted, showing me anything that contains the word I typed in the search bar. Desktop Trello, however, might as well not have a search bar. It shows me every card on every board (including my work boards - even if I'm on my personal board searching), it shows archived cards as well. It sometimes doesn't show cards that the search word would actually be relevant to. How is the app still better than the website at this?

You could use the filter feature on a board to see only cards from that board https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/filtering-for-cards-on-a-board/
