Hi there,
I've set up a scheduled automation that runs each Friday and creates several (different) cards in my weekly planning:
However, today it ran 50 times instead of once. 😅
How did this happen and how can I prevent it from happening again?
Hi @Marieke Debaere - welcome to the community!
To confirm, when the automation ran 50 times - was this due to the number of cards it archived, or did it create duplicate new cards?
It might be that for each card that is archived, new cards are created - as the scheduled rule will run through from start to finish.
Could you please try to separate the scheduled automations into two different automations? One for the archive each card action and another automation for the create new cards action.
So one scheduled automation would be:
"every Friday at 9:00am, archive each card marked as complete"
Then a separate scheduled automation for:
"every Friday at 9:00am, create a new card with title.... etc"
I hope that helps!

Hi Beverley,
Thank you for your reply.
It created 50 duplicate new cards, which is very strange.
The trigger isn't that when a card is archived, a new card has to be created, but it's a Scheduled automation that runs each Friday at 9:00 AM.
I will however separate them, and see if the issue persists.
Thank you!
