Old Trello Background Pictures?

I have a couple of Trello boards that use background images that were available at some point in the past. For example:

- Hex

- Bricks

- Wood Pattern

I would like to use these and the other images from back then on other boards. However, they are no longer options under "colors", and when I search "photos" for "hex" or "bricks", those images don't come up any more.

I like having backgrounds that are neither a) solid colors, nor b) photographs, and those old images did a good job of fulfilling that desire.

Did those old background images get deprecated somewhere along the way? Is that documented somewhere? Is this just an oversight? Is there a way to get them back?

It looks like these used to be under the category of "Patterns and Textures" in the background selector. You can see them in the corner of this preview. There are other random screenshots on the Internet of this.

How do I get back the Patterns and Textures? Are those images up somewhere that I can pick them to at least upload them as custom tiled backgrounds?

Hi @KatherineInCode if you can't find these background images anymore, Trello must have upgraded the collection of background photos. If you have Trello Gold you can search google images for the images you are looking for (or something close) and then add your own custom background with the images you prefer. If you don't want to sign up for Trello Gold you can earn up to 12 months of Trello Gold by recommending friends and colleagues to try Trello, here is more info: https://trello.com/en/gold

I already have Trello Gold, which is how I was using the backgrounds in the first place.

How is removing access to images an "upgrade"?

I don't know what all the images were, but I still want to be able to peruse them, and in particular, to be able to switch back to them if I switch away on my boards that already use them, without having to go to google images for a replacement.

Where is it documented that these images are no longer available?

Hi @KatherineInCode I didn't realize you had Trello Gold already, as Trello free also has a selection of colours and images or the background, you just can't upload your own without Trello Gold. I mentioned that they may have been upgrade to new images if you no longer see them in your options. I am not aware of any Trello documentation that would go into that level of detail listing out backgrounds that they remove or change.
