Number of cards for a particular day?

With the recent upgrade we can no longer see how many cards are set up for one particular day.  We use Trello to schedule jobs through a shop and it was very convenient in the older version to quickly look at any specific day and see how many cards or jobs are on the schedule for that day.   Can that function still be turned on in the new version so we can see how many jobs are set  up for that day?  It used to display at the top of each day.

I already use Calendar View.  In the old version at the top of each day in calendar view there would be a number showing how many cards were set up for that particular day.  Now in the new version that is no longer there.  Is there a setting to change to get that back.  So far I am not a fan of the new version in relation to the old version, it's much more clunky.  I used to be able to move cards from one person to another or change a lablel in calendar view with just a right click on the card.  Now I have to open the card to do that.  

Also when adding a card in calendar view, the old version displayed all the information that was entered and now it only displays a couple sentences.  Is there a setting to change that so the entire amount of info typed is visible on the card in calendar view?
