I have set several cards with Due Dates and Times, but the notification panel (bell) has nothing in it.  Several notifications have already past, and I have not seen any notifications in the panel or received any emails.

I looked at the Trello help for this subject, and the link there to send a test email successfully sent me a notification email.  So that is working, but Trello is not doing its job.

My profile notifications are set to Instantly.  So, it should be sending emails.

Thanks,

Richard..

Ok, well, Trello's features may look nice and do a lot of things.  But what should be their base functionality falls are short of what I would expect.

I have been looking at several project managers to use, and Trello does not have what it takes.  Setting alerts should trigger within a specified time, and not the way Trello does it.  It should also appear in the bell icon so one can see all the active alerts in one place.

Then why they "had to" create a powerup to repeat cards/tasks eludes me.  Such functionality should be part of the basic package and then charge for it!

Another planner, Redbooth has all the basic functionality.  It doesn't look as pretty as Trello, but it has my vote for useful features.

Thank you,

Richard..

Hi Richard

Trello's email about notifications is for notifications that go unread in your notification center, so you have to have a notification in order to get an email about it.

Due date notifications only trigger 24 hours before the time it is due. If you set a due date within 24 hours, you won't ever get a notification for it. And if you have a due date that is set for beyond 24 hours, you'll only get a notification for it if you're watching the board, the list that the card is on, or the specific card.  Have a look at this notification help document to  better understand how notifications work.

Hope that is helpful!
