New board goes automatically under pre-exisiting team - OMG!

I have created a new board thinking it was private and noticed a few hours after (totally by chance) that it had been created (by deafaul and without asking for it) under the pre-existing team I have put in place with a client. As there was some personal information in my last board I kindly ask you:

- Could the client read my information?

- Has the client received any notification about my new board being created under a team he was joining? (he was not tagged not mentioned in the team, and possibly was not "watching" my new board).

Thanks and for the future I suggest that you alert your users about similar changes that affect personal information and privacy, considering the purpose of your tool.

@Crissie ,

It might be possible they can access the board and it might also be possible they have got the notification.

In this situation, you can create a personal team and move those boards to your personal team where you will be an admin.

Sorry, what "it might also be possible they have got the notification"?

There should be a yes or no answer to the question:

When a new board is created under a team, do team members receive a notification about the creation of the new board or not?

Thanks for your help.

@Crissie ,

When a public board is created in a team all member gets a notification.

when a board is created in a team only the admin gets a notification.

"When a public board is created in a team all member gets a notification."

Where do you see this?  AFAIK this is not true.

I don't think ANY board creation makes a notification.

Boards have 4 levels of visibility when you make them.

Private - only you and admins can see the board.

Public - anyone including Google can see the board.

Team - anyone on your team can see the board.

Organization (for enterprise users) - anyone in the Enterprise organization can see the board.

But NONE of these create a notification to any of the team members - even if you create a Team visible board.

Hi @Crissie ,

Welcome to the community!

The default team will be the first team you have joined.

While creating the board change the board's team from the drop-down.

You can also move a board from one team to another.

1 team can have a maximum of 10 boards.

You can create your private team where you are the only member so that you can create a board something like a personal board.

You can also create a private board from the dropdown while creating aboard.
