Hey team!
I've been trying to create a lot of automations for my workflow. I love the idea of using checklists cause they act as mini SOPs for the Items that I have not automated yet. However I do not like when the cards get cluttery and messy so I would like to have the checklists be deleted and added along the way.
This is the first of many automations to come that I have detailed out that wont seem to function for me. I have reorganized the order of the steps several times (just trial and error stabs in the dark) and with the current attached version in the photo here I was able to accomplish the MAX amount of steps I have listed. It always breaks down on the add/remove checklist automations. If I put a checklist automation before any of the other steps none of those steps happen either.
HELP! How do I make these work? I also do not want to break it up into too many automations either because I work in a team. These automations act as mini-coded SOPs that my team can trace and understand if and when they need to change. BUT I am willing to make concessions as needed to make things work.
Hi there @Prestige Sales , long time no speak. Hope you're well...
The issue you have is you are moving the card to another board, which means the automation can no longer reference the card "Full Sales Process"
To fix this, use the card link in the step instead of the name:
add the "Liner Foot Measure" checklist from card "https://trello.com/c/xxxxx" and your automation should start working
Cheers,
Mike
Dang it Mike you are too good!
Worked like a charm.
If you have the time to answer one more I'd be super grateful!
When the next checklist "Linear Foot Measure" is checked off I want it to accomplish another set of tasks and there is one task I cannot seem to figure out without breaking it off onto a separate task on a separate board.
When the next checklist "Linear Foot Measure" is checked off I want to have it delete the mirrored card. Like I previously said, I'm trying to keep as many of the "joint" automations together as possible for the team to be able to see when making changes.
love Adam ;)
