Missing cards from allocated lists

I have 2 scenarios with the same problem - only started happening this few days.

1) I have a card (in my "Current Task" board) with a checklist, for which I created separate cards for each activity on the checklist (automation).  This was successfully created weeks ago.  I have since completed task 1 and am working on task 2 this week, but can't find the Task 2 card on my board.  When I check the checklist status on the main card, it tells me Task 2 card is currently in "This week's Task" list (It is NOT).  When I open the Task 2 card (from the checklist link), the top of the card tells me "this card is in an archived list".  I have not archived this card, neither can I find this card in my archived list in order to restore it.  It is currently missing / invisible! (For now, I temporarily solved the problem by moving it to another list and then moving it back to the required list, to force it into visibility)

2) I have another card in another board for which I created a mirror card to show in my "Current Task" board.  Similarly, the card in the second board is visible, but the mirror card in the "Current Task" board is invisible.  The situation is exactly like scenario 1.  I had to  delete and start again with a new mirror card.

I am currently using the browser Trello.

Please Help!
Is this going to be a problem?  How can I be sure I'm not going to miss an important item ?  Can I really trust Trello?

Hi @We Mild Spaulding !

From what you're describing, I'm getting the impression you're dealing with a bit of a desync issue, which might be due to a spotty internet connection.

A couple of things you could try:

  1. When the card goes missing, try checking from a different browser. Does it still not show up?

  2. Give your current browser a hard refresh (usually Ctrl + F5 or Cmd + Shift + R). See if that makes the card reappear.

If you can reproduce the issue, it’d be super helpful if you could capture a clip of it happening or share a link to the card with us. That way, we can dig deeper to see if there’s a bug lurking around. Right now, I haven't come across similar reports, and I couldn't reproduce it myself, but your input could help us get to the bottom of it.

Let me know if you give those suggestions a try! 😊

For scenario 1, I (temporarily) solved the problem by moving it to another list and then moving it back to the required list, to force it into visibility
