Map view: Workaround for incorrect / missing locations on Google Maps?

Hey,

I'm considering an upgrade to Premium, partly because of the Map view. I'm working on-site, so route planning is pretty important.

However, addresses in Google are not always correct, so I'd need a way to set / move card locations manually or by geolocation.

Is there any way to do that from within an existing card? Currently the only workaround I've found is to use a random nearby address .. which is not ideal since it produces wrong data.

Also, regarding Map view:

* is there a way to prevent accidentially moving a pin? Like, locking the view or something?

* is there a way to persistently use Satellite view (or any other not-too-busy view) with no labels -- so that I don't need to change that every single time i open Map view?

* Are there any plans to use different maps in the future? Right now I use umap (based on OpenStreetMap) for the locations, which works a lot better for me than Google for all sorts of reasons.

Thanks for any pointers!

Hello,

When using the Map View, you can update a card's location by dragging the pin to a new destination. However, since it isn’t possible to lock a pin in place at this time, if you need to adjust the location, you may need to enter a nearby address first and then drag the pin to the exact spot you want.

Currently, Map View is the only map option available. There are no plans on our roadmap to introduce additional map views, but we encourage you to keep an eye on the roadmap for any future updates.

If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks - using a nearby address and then dragging in Map view was my current workaround already, but good to know there's no other option anyway.

Do you have a hint for the Satellite view thing? I believe in "regular" Google Maps one can pur that in the URL ... but that doesn't seem to work within Trello, or maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Unfortunately, it’s not currently possible to use satellite view within Trello. At this time, Trello does not support a satellite visualization option for embedded maps.
