Hello Atlassian Team and Community,
I’m currently locked out of my Trello account because of the legacy SMS two‑factor authentication. When I try to log in, I receive the following message:
“Legacy Trello‑only two factor authentication over SMS is no longer supported. Please enter a backup code or contact support to recover your account.”
Unfortunately, I don’t have backup codes available, and when I tried contacting support, I was redirected here to the community.
Could someone please guide me on how to recover access to my account under these circumstances? Any official steps or community experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
Hi @Rafieiy ,
I understand that you're having trouble logging into Trello because it's asking for a legacy Trello 2FA code and .I've started the process to remove 2FA from your account. You should soon receive an email notifying you that the recovery process has begun.
You'll receive a second email with a link to recover your account. The recovery link in the second email will expire in 12 hours. Please click the link and enter your password to disable two-step verification.
Thank you !
Hi @Rafieiy
Since you were redirected on the community, I will pressume that you have a free trello instance. I've contacted an Atlassian Support Engineer and you will hear from him within 2 business days. It seems that another user faces the same issue (or is he from the same company as you?).
