I clicked on the Trello log and it took me to my Home Page, but a version I hadn't seen before. In the middle was an "Up next" section and it showed my morning appointment. I clicked on it and it opened that card and then restored all of my lists and cards on that board. Not sure why but happy it did!!

That brings up the question ... are my boards stored in the cloud if something like this happened again. The client info I have on this board is irreplaceable.

Thanks!

Hey Jeff,

Vishaal here with the Trello Team—thanks for reaching out

To be upfront, we usually don't recover data for deleted boards by default if the deletion is user-initiated,

The backups mentioned are for general recovery, if something happens on our end - let's say a server crash, for example.

We'd then restore Trello for everyone from these backups that we do every hour. That is not something that is user accessible or a user could retrieve. These are not backups that can be used if let's say you delete a card or board by accident. Deleting a board requires multiple steps and is only available to board admins. In addition for the board to be offered for deletion, it would need to be closed first. Then in a separate step, it can be deleted after a warning.

Do let me know if you've more questions. I'd be happy to help.
