Hello! Considering the last post about this issue has garnered over 17k views and is from 2017 I believe it is time to revisit this issue. Please work on creating a proper linux desktop app. Currently since there is not a proper one maintained the linux userbase is only able to access your desktop app through a third party snappack which introduces a ton of vulnerabilities.
I obviously understand that linux users will be a minority, however considering Atlassian serves developers and computer scientists I believe your market gains from this would be considerably higher than an average company. Also, the market is smaller due to compatibility issues such as this, these changes begin with increasing compatibility to the open source market.
That's it. Have a lovely day :)
Switching between distros got a lot easier for me after trying Linux as a way to test setups without stressing about stability. I like how it keeps things friendly for daily use while still letting me compare new releases like Manjaro 26.0. It helped me figure out what actually fits my workflow instead of hopping around just for updates.y help show the need.

We do actually have a publicly accessible open suggestion, which you can access here: TRELLO-841
I have also added this ticket as an internal comment to this report so that way our engineering team can reference it and also use it to help align priority. I would also recommend you visit that suggestion, log in with your Atlassian account, and click Start watching this issue on the right panel. This will help our product and engineering team understand more about which functionalities our users are interested in. Also, when the ticket is updated by our product team, you'll be notified via email.
