Joining other people's boards

I have a Trello account, but when colleagues send me a link to join their Boards, I get a message telling me I need to create a trello account to do so - even whilst my logged-in initials are on the same screen as that message! The invite links were sent to the same email address as my account email, so that isn't the problem. Since I already have an account, I can't follow the instructions to create one, and so don't know how to solve this issue. Any ideas?

Would you mind reaching out to trello.com/contact with the link to the board you have been invited to and a screenshot of what you see when trying to join the board? Our Support team would be happy to take a look.

This answer was spectacularly unhelpful. I went to trello.com/contact as you asked. Clicked the "Ask Trello Support" button as it appeared to be the way to do what you said. All it is is a chatbot, which, after I typed out my question again and pasted in the links, simply popped me up a couple of articles which were no use whatsoever. They asked whether the article was helpful at the bottom of them, but only gave a Yes option, not a No one! And when I clicked "still need support" it directed me back to reaching out to the Trello community with no other contact options.

You really might as well have not bothered answering me at all, and i could have saved 10 minutes of work time.
