Is there a way to simplify communication to accommodate ppl not so technically minded?

I have 18 members in my team and we have to have up to the minute communication in our processes. Trello works perfectly except that it seems the communication process is a bit on the technical side and there are some who are not. How can I dumb it down so they can grasp using the communication system easily?
