Is there a way to invite to a board via link without giving editing permissions?

I have a small team with one very simple board.  We need the ability to have others see the board without editing the information.  The group to view the board without editing is relatively large (50+) so I need to send a link to invite.  Is there a way to do this without upgrading to business class and creating observers?

@Katie Sutton You can add those people to the team, make the board team visible, disable self-joining and then modify the permissions for commenting/voting.
