Trying to use the new planner. When I drag a card from my board to the calendar, I get an error, "Scheduling isn't available - Scheduling focus time and to-dos isn't available for your account". What is the issue here?

Hi @Dale Rotrekl,

What you’re seeing—“Scheduling isn't available…for your account”—means the new Trello Planner feature isn’t currently enabled for your free workspace.

Although access to Inbox and Planner is gradually being rolled out to all plans, it’s not yet universally available on the free plan. According to Atlassian support, Planner is being released to a broader audience “in the coming months,” but not everyone sees it right away techradar.com+6support.atlassian.com+6community.atlassian.com+6.

The feature you're trying to use—dragging cards to schedule them as “focus time”—requires that Planner is enabled for your workspace reddit.com+3support.atlassian.com+3community.atlassian.com+3. Since you're seeing an error, it means your account hasn't received access yet.

What you can do:

  • Double-check if Planner is visible: On desktop, open any board and look for the Planner option near the Views toolbar.

  • Wait for your feature rollout: Atlassian is still expanding access, so you should get the feature in the coming weeks or months.

  • Use Power-Up alternatives in the meantime:

Let me know if you'd like help setting up Planyway or staying notified when Planner becomes available to you.
