Me and my wife use Trello for shopping of groceries, and have a card with permanent checklists for this purpose. When we e.g. have run out of milk, this item is unchecked. Then it is easy to see which groceries to shop and check them one by one when picking them in the store (extremly useful when both of us are in the shop at the same time).
One thing is however frustrating: It is hard to see if an item already is in the list or if it should be added, as the items in the checklist is not organized alphabetically.
Is it possible to add a rule for automatic sorting of checklists? I tried by adding the rule below, but it sorted the cards in the list instead of the items in the checklist:
"when an item is added to checklist "Fryst" by anyone, sort the list by title ascending"
Hi Lars, welcome to the community!
It's great to see how you use Trello for your tasks. Currently, I'm afraid there isn't a way to automatically sort checklist items. The only way is to manually drag and drop the item and reorder them.
I see we have a couple of feature requests regarding this topic. I'll add this post as an internal comment to them.
You are also welcome to check and follow these feature requests, by clicking on "watch this issue" on the right panel.
