Invite links is showing as immediately invalid, and direct invites via username not working

Trev C June 21, 2025

Hi,

I'm trying to invite another member to my workspace/board. I have generated invite links for both the workspace and the board, and also used the 'add member' to find them by username to add.

The links when clicked on tell the other member that they are invalid (even though I only just generated and sent to them), and they are not recieving the notifications to join the board/workspace through the app interface.

They have been able to add me into their workspace/board fine

Hello, Trev

Welcome to the community

Could you please share the URL of the board where you're experiencing difficulties adding another user? I'd like to examine the system settings to see if there are any restrictions affecting the invitation options

Kind Regards

Hello, Trev

I can't see any issue with permissions, when you try to add a user directly on the board using the share button is there any error message?

Hi Alisson,

No, there's no error message, no feedback at all.

The PUT request to the members API endpoint which is made on sending the invite returns a 200 staus though.

Hey, Trev

That's unusual, as a 200 status typically indicates that the request was successful. Could you try inviting a user with a non-existent account, such as test12329128218292@someemail.com? Please share the exact email address you used. I want to determine if a ghost account is being created after you send the invitation.

Kind Regards
