I had a comms Worskpace and had several boards on it for every issue of a magazine we produce. 7 people on the team had access to the boards and I suspect one of them closed what he thought was a board - but appears to be the Workspace - agony, there was so much on there.
To delete a workspace, there is extra protection as the user would have to enter the workspace name in a box to do so. The good news though is that the boards are not deleted, they are just closed. You can reopen them and re-add them to a workspace.
