As a virtual assistant, my client base is expanding rapidly. At present, I manage all clients within a single workspace by creating boards for each of them and inviting them as guests. Now, I'm contemplating whether I should create separate workspaces for each client or persist with the current board setup. The idea of individual workspaces for each client crossed my mind due to reaching the limit of my free 10 boards. However, I'm also considering upgrading to the Trello standard plan for unlimited boards. What would be the most efficient approach moving forward? Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Donna, welcome to the community 😊 do you have any other reason for upgrading to the standard plan? If so, then upgrading and keeping all your boards in one workspace would be the way to go. If you're not ready to upgrade, then you could just create multiple workspaces to host your boards. You could use workspaces like folders to categorize your clients - for example, a workspace for each client type, or a workspace for each location - whatever works for you!
Hi Hannah,
Thank you for your speedy response. The only reason I would upgrade is because I want to assign due dates and add members to checklist. You can't do that with the free version correct?

Correct. You would need to upgrade to use advanced checklists (due dates/members).

Yes you'll be charged for workspace members or guests who are on multiple boards (aka multi-board guests. If you have a guest who is just on one board, then that's a free guest (aka single-board guest). It's all explained here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/how-billing-works-with-trello-premium-and-standard/
