I'm trying to take advantage of Custom Fields which I believe is standard, however, when I try to add Custom Fields via the Menu, I only get a screen shot as to what Custom Fields look like. It won't actually let me create Custom Fields. Any suggestions?
From these screenshots, you should be able to create the custom field by clicking the blue Create button.
It is not because you don't have the correct subscription because if you were running Trello Free, you would see this:
If you weren't able to add the custom field because you haven't set the type or given it a name, the Create button would be greyed out...

Hi Mike -
I actually am now believing that this Trello board was created in the very early days before IBM had an Enterprise license. In that screen that that I'm posting, even though you see that "create" blue bottom, I can't click it. Its a screen shot. Either within the Card or off to the right in the menu upon clicking Custom Fields, both are only screen shots without the option to click the create button. I'm thinking my only option is to re-create an entirely brand new board and migrate all the cards over unless there is anything else you may be able to think of. Thank you for your reply above - I really appreciate it !!!

Hi Mike - I went out to the Standard Pricing site that David here also sent me and I did notice that under the Free version, Custom Fields was not an option. I'm thinking this Trello Board was created in the very early days of us getting into the usage of Trello and it could have been created before any licensing was establish. Now since there is an Enterprise license, do you know if previous boards that may have started under the Free category can be converted into your Enterprise license? Or should I just bite the bullet and start over and migrate the cards? Thanks!

Hello @James Greene
Can it be assumed that you are on at least the Standard plan?

When Trello first came out, many Taco moons ago, the Custom Fields PowerUp was available, free, to all plan levels. A few years ago, it changed and now it's only available with the paid plans. Those of use who were early adopters of Trello can still use Custom Fields in our free plans, but those that came afterwards out of luck.
So, it does sound like some sort of board migration issue resulting from being a board from a previously free plan. Do a migration of the cards to a new board in the new licensed environment and see if that works.
