Is there a way to allow team members to assign themselves to task in a particular list? In other words, I don't want to assign them myself instead, I want them to commit to the task they can do at any time they become available. I do not want them to be able to remove or alter a task besides checking off on the parts of the task that they have finished. If this is possible can I set a limit to how many team members can work on one task? Thank you.

Anyone can assign themselves to a card on any list, as long as they're a member of the board (either normal or admin), and there's no limit (and no way to make a limit) on the amount of people who can be added to one card But, those users will be able to make any changes they want to a a card as well. The only feature that limits what a user can do is with Business Class observers, but observers cannot be added to cards.
