Hi Trello Community,
I’m seeking guidance on how to properly migrate from Trello Free to Trello Premium for a small team. Here's my situation:
I have a Marketing Manager who is leaving the company. She and two of her team members have been using Trello Free (with their own boards and workspaces), sharing the information with the marketing manager.
I’d like to purchase Trello Premium and consolidate their existing boards/workspaces under a single Premium workspace where I am the admin.
My goal is to build a team of 10 total employees in this Premium workspace to collaborate on shared projects going forward.
Questions:
What is the cleanest way to migrate those users and their existing boards into a new Premium workspace without losing any data or board structure?
Can I invite them into Premium and then “pull” their boards into the Premium workspace after?
Will board ownership or permissions need to be manually reassigned during the move?
Should the Marketing Manager initiate the transfer before she leaves, or can I handle that once she's gone (assuming she’s still an admin on those boards)?
Any best practices or pitfalls I should know about when setting this up for long-term team collaboration?
