How do I show next steps on the home screen of iPhone 11 using the app?

I have a free account. My home screen on iOS app can’t be clicked on and doesn’t show next steps. It did once but when I dismissed that one I couldn’t get it back. Having things due today from across all boards will make this work for me instead of having to click open each board to see what is urgent. Any tips?

@Jennifer Doyle Vancil have you tried clearing the iOS app cache?

Thanks for that idea, Iain. It started working suddenly when the next deadline came up and then I was able to click “view more” and it showed the next 10 tasks with deadlines. I’ll try clearing the cache if that happens again. (How is that done?
