I have my cards created for each client, but each month I have to update them. Is there a way I can take my monthly spreadsheet and import it to update the cards instead of manually updating each one?
Hi Emily,
Unfortunately, Trello's native features don't support "import to update"; standard imports only create duplicate cards.
To update existing cards from a spreadsheet, you could consider using a third-party integration. Trello Power-Ups like Crmble or Sheets by Unito can facilitate bi-directional data synchronization between spreadsheets and Trello cards.
Is a spreadsheet necessary because it is generated by an external system? If your data doesn't involve complex calculations or pulling info from other software, managing a separate file might lead to double entries or sync errors.
Cheers, Martin
Thank you, Martin! I will look into Crmble and Sheets by Unito.
We are exporting from a separate software - not everyone has access to the other program, but all need some key details. So, we are trying to find an "easy" way to export from the other program and import into Trello, so they don't have to hand type it. It also isn't enough to justify setting up an api/integration between the other program and Trello.
