I need to see when any card has been updated in Trello. I seem to only see if a card was added, moved, or deleted.

I need the ability to see if only the text was updated in a card.

Hi Kristie!

The standard Trello activity feed is indeed limited to high-level actions like moves, additions, or deletions. It doesn't highlight specific text changes within a card description or title in a single view.

To see these granular updates, I recommend using the Board Assistant for Trello Power-Up.

How it helps with your request:
Detailed Activity Logs: It captures more specific actions that the standard feed might miss.
Text Updates: You can track changes to card titles and descriptions more effectively.
Centralized View: It provides a clearer overview of what exactly was modified within the cards.

You can find it here:

Hello @Kristie Thompson
Changes to the name and description of cards are not recorded as activity.

Hi @Kristie Thompson,

It seems that you are currently tracking the card update through the Activity section from the Board menu.

You can try these workarounds:

1. Use the Watch board to get notified of most changes in your board:

  1. Go to the board.

  2. Open the board menu → Watch. (Docs)

  3. This will notify you when:

    • cards are created, moved, or archived

    • due dates are added/changed

    • all comments on any card on that board

This doesn’t give you a perfect log of text-only edits, but it significantly increases visibility of activity on all cards.

2. Another approach is to use Search to see recently edited cards with 'edited:' operator.

You can learn more here.

This doesn’t show what text changed, but it answers: Which cards on this board have been edited recently?

Hope it helps 🙌
