How can I add myself as a member to a card without automatically 'watching it'?

I would like to add myself to Cards as a way of showing that I created it and am responsible for it. But I do not want to watch them, as then I see it on my Android widget, which I do not want to. Can I please add myself to a card without automatically having the 'Watch' Feature activated.

@Dave Blank I created an integration for Trello called Benko Board which (among other things) automatically unwatches any card you're added to on any board:

This makes the notifications dramatically more usable because you don't get flooded with notifications whenever someone sneezes within the vicinity of a card, you only get notified about being added, mentioned and removed from cards.
