Hi :)
Im currently having trouble with setting a new rule. I receive a certain type of email which is automatically converted into cards. The Title of the Email, and therefore the card, contains a date on it.
I am aware of the options for the trigger to seek dates in new cards. Im planning to use this logic: when anyone enters a card name containing a date, set due on the date.
The problem i encounter is that the title always contains a colon after it (eg. "....15.07.2025: ..."), and therefor is not being detected by the rule. Is there any way to fix this, or perhaps use other logics to achieve the same result?
Also, not exactly related, but it will be nice if we can stack triggers with and/or logic :)
Thank you in Advance!
Dante
Hi @Avanindra Ramadhantyo Utomo ,
Welcome to the community!
It sounds like Trello might be interpreting the date as part of the text due to its format. If you're on the Trello Premium plan or considering it, you might want to explore the AI features. Trello's AI can automatically summarize emails, extract due dates, create relevant titles, and organize action items into checklists. Here are a couple of approaches you could try:
You can start a free trial of Trello Premium to see if the AI can better interpret your email titles and automatically set due dates correctly. read more about it here : Summarize emails with AI
Thanks for the reply!
unfortunately im in no position of either getting trello premium, nor using AI in my use case. Is there any way for the team to push this on an update instead maybe?
I will try to find some powerups that can solve this for now, but it will be very nice to use the rules provided by Trello themselves :))
Thanks!
