Hello! Created a new board for my employees to join (myself + 3 new people total on board) using free account, and employees are receiving error messages when trying to get onto board for first time.
One employee’s error says, “unexpected error,” when trying to enter verification code sent to her correct email (has tried multiple times), and when I invite a different email of mine to join (5th member on board), my error says, “Whoops! You can't join this board because you're not a member of the board's workspace,” when I select “Go to Board” from the verification email. Screenshots attached.
Please note, none of these emails are attached to any other Trello accounts and when I go into the board users, everyone I have invited is listed as a board member.
Hi @Sarah Downey ,Welcome to community !
I have taken a look at your boards, and you have invited four users to the board. There are a total of five users on the board, including you.
The accounts for most of the users aren't set up correctly or, we can say, they're not verified.
You can try the following steps:
Remove the users from the board and add them again. Once you add them, they will receive the invite. Ask them to accept the invite and set up their accounts properly.
Alternatively, ask the users to perform a password reset. After updating their password, they can try to log in again.
To reset the password, go to the link: https://id.atlassian.com/login/resetpassword?
I see that one user received an "Unexpected error" when trying to enter the verification code. Ask them to try again and enter the verification code within 10 minutes, as it will expire afterward.
Also, please confirm if every user is using Trello through the mobile app and not the web version.
Thank you!
Update - I received an automated email that one employee could view the board, but that same employee also receive the same “Whoops!” Prompt on her end & can’t login.
