So we are an MSP for IT and we have a client that is trying to link their Planner to their outlook calendar. In their 365 tenant we have added her to Trello, Trello Planner for Outlook, and Atlassian, as well as granted permission but she is still being told she needs permission to do so.

I am wondering what requirements the enterprise app integration needs for this to work?

Hi Mike,

I am not particularly familiar with Microsoft's enterprise access controls but I presume there is an allowlist somewhere for applications that the Trello Planner application needs to be added to.
From doing some searching I've identified a few configurations that possibly need to be modified:

  1. In the Azure AD portal under "Enterprise Applications". You may need to add our application to this list.
  2. You may need to permit our OAauth2 flow in "Microsoft Defender for Identity"
  3. Your organization might have specific security settings that block all third-party applications or require explicit allowlisting.

If none of these are relevant could you please provide some more specific details about the error that your client is seeing when trying to authorize the Trello Planner application?

granting admin consent for the enterprise application does not seem to work properly, and that it only functions with user consent which is in violation of the tenant's security policies.
