Hello everyone – have a good year 2024!
I made an automation in our Trello-Boards which sends an e-mail-notification to special persons in case, that a checklist-item is checked as „done“ (a direct mail, not a notfication about an automatically generated comment on the card).
This automation is working, but the receivers of the mail cannot see, from which card this message is sent. They can only find out, from which Board the message is coming. Does anyone has a hint for me to make this automation useful?
Greeting from Lutz from Berlin
Hi Lutz,
Thanks for raising this question!
I'd suggest you add some Automation variables to the message body. For example, you can use this markdown syntax to add a hyperlink to the card, where a checklist item was checked:
[{cardname}]({cardlink})
This article provides more information on how to use Automation variables: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/butler-variables/
Hope this information helps! 🙂
