Does anyone have any advice for a Monday.com user who finds this a total confusing mess.

I have a large development in Monday.com that needs to scale.
Seat count of 200
Monday is not cost effective
Looking for an alternative, but it MUST have map views / locations / named map areas
So far my experiments with Trello have been confusing to say the least.

Monday is intuitive

This is unintuitive 

Or am I missing something?

I'm going to jump in here before someone from Atlassian tells you that you should Try Jira because they have an agenda.

I'm an independent consultant who loves Trello so I can independently say that it would be worth looking into Jira, but it really depends on what you are using Monday for in all honesty.

Trello certainly could work for you but it is quite a shift in philosophy compared to Monday.

It certainly could be made very cost effective due to the licencing model and the concept of free single-board guests but you almost certainly will need a premium workspace to include the features you're used to in Monday. 

I would suggest that it would be worth reaching out to a Trello expert to discuss feasibility.  Start with this list here *cough cough*:

I would suggest looking into Airtable and Smartsuite as alternatives also.
