Did Trello change the Save functionality? I think it used to be that closing a ticket would save it.

I've recently had a problem where I enter tickets, but then team complains the description is blank. When I double check they are correct - I entered the description, but did not hit "save". The content is saved ( thankfully ) but wasn't added so that others can see it.

Is this a new behavior? I thought in the past, just closing the ticket acted as a save.

Hi @AZQA ,

In the current Trello card editor, description edits are not applied to the card until you click Save.

Closing the card keeps your draft for you but does not update what collaborators see. You can check if a card has any drafts with a 'Unsaved changes' label when you click on it.

Hope it helps 🙌

Thank you but that doesn't answer my question. I'm aware of how it currently works. I'm asking when this was implemented, or was there a UI change to the area?

I just notice that I am often forgetting to hit the save button - something that wasn't happening before. honestly I don't recall even having to hit the save button - maybe I used to hit "enter" and that was doing it? I use a number of PM tools, so how trello worked in the past is a bit hazy.

I got your point @AZQA.

I see many other people have the same thought as you here

I did find a request ticket that matches your case (TRELLO-680). You can vote for and start watching it progress toward a fix or any workaround from their product team.

Hope it helps 🙌
