Dashcard losing count

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I am using a Dashcard on my board to sum the number of cards in several lists. When I move card from one list to another, the count becomes inaccurate. I have found that the checkbox in the filters gets turned off -- see red circles in screenshot -- and I have to reselect it. How can I avoid having to do this? It's counterproductive.
