Creating cards by email

When I reply to an email, it is displayed as a comment attached to the original email on trello.

However, is it possible to automatically display this comment as a separate card?

Replying to an email will usually attach the email as a comment on the card. In terms of the built in email-to-trello feature, using the email to board address, emails will always create a new card and using the email to card address, emails will be posted as comments on that specific card.

I would suggest having a look at our Email for Trello Power-Up for an alternative with much more functionality - for example using a custom email address, email automation, merging duplicate cards and contact management.

Is it correct that with the "email-to-trello" function, it is not possible to separate cards for each email reply, and it can only be set to display everything as a thread?

For example, in the case I return or forward the previous email and talk about a different matter, I hope it would be stored as a separate card in trello, but would that be difficult due to the specifications?
