How do I delete a check list when I do not have the card anymore.

Hi Kathy,

A checklist cannot exist without a card, so if you're still seeing the checklist somewhere, the card must still exist as well. Perhaps the card has been archived? If so, you can get at that card from the Board Menu > More > Archived Items: https://help.trello.com/article/795-archiving-and-deleting-cards
