There appears to be a change in the most recent version (2024.22) of Trello for iOS. Cards now have huge margins which put a lot of wasted space in the cards. For example in the past I could display 10+ cards vertically and now it’s almost half of that with the extra spacing. I web version looks the same, only the mobile version is affected. Can this change please be reverted or can a “compact mode” option be added?
I am happy to see that Trello version 2024.23 has corrected this issue.
Hi @Scott Schramm - thanks for reporting this issue. It looks like the team has an update coming soon. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello-questions/Re-Spacing-of-cards/qaq-p/2866954/comment-id/101772#M101772

Good Morning Andrea,
Maybe you can give more insight as to whether the team plan to change the cards back to their exact original sizes without any margins permanently?
Since the update cards also have an issue with the card text colours not showing in white, if the user is running dark theme on IOS mobile

I have also been having this problem for quite a while on my Mac. Occasionally, when I update my computer, it goes back to normal, but then a Trello update comes through that breaks it again. Very frustrating!

@jill_brown can you share a screenshot from Mac? This report was specific to iOS so whatever you're seeing has a different root cause.

Sure, here's an example:

@jill_brown thank you for the screenshot! I'm not able to reproduce this immediately. Are you in a browser (if so, which one) or the Mac app? If you're using a browser, have you tried incognito or with extensions disabled? If you're using the Mac app, do you see the same spacing on cards when you access the same board in a browser? Do you have any automations on the board that could be editing the cards?

I am using the Mac app, but it also looks that way in my Browsers (Chrome and Safari). This previously happened on all of my boards, but now is only happening to this one. When I open the board, it looks correct initially, but quickly shifts to the extended space view pretty quickly.

@jill_brown Do you have any power ups enabled on this board? if so which ones? (or if you prefer, share the board link leaving off the name for privacy. aka `trello.com/b/12345678` )

Im not sure why it takes such a substantial amount of time to fix something that has already been resolved in the past. Frustrating to say the least

@jill_brown I believe I've figured out the root cause of your issue. Can you check if there's an unused power up on your board? if so, please just disable and remove it. I believe that will fix the spacing problem. If not, let me know!

@EV sorry for the confusion, my suggestion was specific to the issue raised by Jill on Mac, not iOS
