Card due date updated based on checklist due date

Hello! 

I've been trying to figure this out and cant seem to get anywhere.

Is there a way to set an automation to make the card due date match the due date of the nearest unchecked list item due date?

I need this because I use bluecat for reporting and the only way to report on due date is by pulling it from the actual card due date, so I want the card due date to match a checklist that I may have for phase 1, phase 2, etc. due dates.

Hi!

You should consider other reporting options that might be more flexible, such as Cross-Board Reporting & Dashboards (https://trello.com/power-ups/66291013ec3abfbf13b255c6).

With this approach, you can create your own automation rule in Trello to update a Custom Field, and then use that field for data selection and reporting within the dashboard tool.

Trello Automation Rule:
Trigger: when all checklists are completed in a card by anyone.
Action: set date Custom Field to now.

This allows you to filter and pull the exact data you need for your reports in Cross-Boards Dashboards based on that specific field.

I would also recommend visiting that suggestion, and clicking Start watching this issue in the right panel. This will help our product and engineering team understand more about which functionalities our users are interested in. Additionally, when our product team updates the ticket, you'll be notified via email.
