Cant see the cards?

Hi... newish user. Made lost of boards with no issue. Make one and on returning it says the first list has 9 cards but I can't see them. How do I make them visible.

Did not assign cards to anyone... was not aware we could - kits made a list as usual. Very odd. Loosing time now. All I want is to be able to see the list of cards which I created.
