Can you make the Cards searchable by PO numbers?

i can enter the Label PO, but it does not come up in a search. Can we expand the search to include the searching odd characters like this?

I am entering them in a custom field, I believe, on the individual cards themselves.

Use the board filter (press F) instead of global search. Type the exact value (e.g., 12345), not the field name. Keep the format simple, as special characters or extra spaces can make filtering unpredictable.

Trello filters by the field value (e.g., 12345), not the field name, so avoid searching for "PO" unless it is actually part of the typed value.

For a more reliable long-term solution, I highly recommend putting the PO number directly into the card title (e.g., PO-12345 - Vendor Name). This guarantees the card will show up instantly in both board filters and general Trello searches.

Hi Chris,

I’m not sure which exact special characters you use in the PO label, but I tested a similar case with an emoji in a Custom Field.

An alternative option is Board Assistant:

If you enable Extended Activity Log, it can log Custom Field changes and let you use global search inside that change log. From the search result, you can open the matching Trello card directly.
