I will add my manager as an admin to my trello board but cannot figur out how. Later I will remove myself when my assignement at the company is finished. Is it possible?

When you add a user to your board, you can designate them as an admin when you add them, or once they're added.
To designate as an admin when adding them to the board, there's a little arrow beside their name before you submit the invite.
Or, once they're a member of the board, you can change their status to admin by clicking on their avatar.
Now, since there's an admin on the board (other than yourself), you can leave the board any time and the board will remain intact with the admin as the "owner".
