Both scheduled & action triggered automations are enabled on my board but won't trigger, why?

I've been using trello for years and I set up a bunch of automations (both scheduled and triggered by user action) to make it more efficient so I can focus on managing people and not the trello board. For the five days or so (today is 5/27/26) none of my automations have been working. I've triple checked that they're still enabled on the board and tried disabling and re-enabling them, but neither type of automation triggers anymore. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Is it just a bug?

Hello @Anna Artinger

Maybe you hitted hard limit ?

On Trello Free, automation limits are pooled across the entire workspace rather than split per user or board. If your rules suddenly stop executing, check your usage by going to Automation → Activity → Workspace activity.

Once that shared monthly quota is completely 0, all enabled commands will pause until the next cycle resets the counter.

Please also do a small test: create a new one and check how it behaves there.

Best,

Arkadiusz🤠

That's exactly what happened. I'm new to automating on trello and didn't even know there was a limit. Thank you!

Hey! It's totally okay not to know everything. Atlassian is a pretty big system!

Glad we could help you out.

Have a great day!
