Board member cannot remove themselves from card?

I have one board member who is also assigned as an Admin and they cannot remove themselves from cards they are assigned to. Once they are assigned, and they try to remove themselves, it appears to go through, and then with a refresh, they are back on. There aren't any automations on the cards that would automatically add them back on.
