BC abo/ licenses, what is an OBSERVER and what does it cost?

Hi!

We are a small company with 5 people inhouse (all same domene email addresses) but we also have hired staff across the world (different email addresses) - they are also part of our team! Going fwd we also want to collaborate with people outside our organisation like partners, logistic company, external accountant.. We are considering Trello vs Monday. 

How many licenses do we have to pay for?

What is an observer? Do we have to pay for the observer?

You don't *have* to pay for any licenses.

Trello is free to use, and you can have up to 10 boards in a free workspace/team. 

If you do upgrade your workspace/team to Business Class, then you'd pay for each member of the team plus any outside collaborators that are on MORE than one board.  If you've invited someone to just one board in your team, you won't have to pay for them.
