Automations not copying from template board

I have a template board that I set up a few years ago to share with clients (so that they could duplicate from the template and get the automations that I'd pre-built for them).

I've recently updated the content and automations and now when I copy from the template into a different account, the new board doesn't have any of the Butler automations from the original. 

I'm on a free plan but still have this official 'template' board (where you get the big blue button that says 'create board from template' from when that functionality was included in the free plan.

Has anyone got any ideas how I can resolve this so that the automations copy over with the template?

Automations cannot be copied from a board, but they can be shared via automation libraries in the Premium plan https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/working-with-command-libraries/
