I've set a automation/rule in a dashboard of my client:
every friday at 5:00 pm, create a new card with title "Webinar countdown aanpassen" in list "TO DO" on board "Skillz Online" and add member @mandypetersrit_vbs to the card, and set due the next tuesday at 1:00 pm, create a new card with title "Opnames verwerken" in list "TO DO" on board "Skillz Online" and add member @mandypetersrit_vbs to the card, and set due the next tuesday at 9:00 am, and create a new card with title "Opnames verwijderen" in list "TO DO" on board "Skillz Online" and add member @mandypetersrit_vbs to the card, and set due the next Thursday at 9:00 am
So every Friday evening it will created the cards, that's correct. But of every card (in this automation 3 cards) will be created several times. Once it was per card another two or three cards, another time it was an other number of double cards.
How is this possible and of course how can I fix this? Now I've got the message that I've reached my limit for that workspace.
For each client I have a different workspace and board. I've only set the automation belonging to that dashboard is enabled on the dashboard, so the other rules are disabled.
Can anyone help me please?
Hi there,
Thanks for raising this question!
It's hard to say what exactly is going wrong here, but it's worth mentioning that if you add the same rule and activate it on several boards, then the same rule will run multiple times creating these cards for you. It may be a better solution to create separate rules for specific boards to create specific cards there.
This article provides more information about Automation quotas and limits: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/butler-quotas-and-limits/
I've also checked that you enabled the Card Repeater Power-Up for your account. Have you by any chance created Card repeater rules for the same cards?
If the above information doesn't help you resolve the problem, could I ask you to create a ticket through https://trello.com/contact and share the links to the boards where this issue occurs? This gives us access to a few more tools to help investigate, and we can discuss information that can't be shared in the community.

Hi,
Thank you for your answer. First I used card repeater but that's not working exactly how I had planned, so I've removed that on the boards/cards. I will check that once again for if I missed one.
The scheduled automation I've per dashboard the automation created. So for example every Friday 5 pm create a card named card A and created card B. That's for one dashboard and is only enabled on specific dashboard. On the other dashboards is that automation disabled. And so further.
So I don't know what's the cause of the several cards that are created.
If card repeater doesn't run and the automations are only enabled on specific board, what will it be? And ofcourse, what's the solution.

Hey,
Thanks for confirming that!
I'd suggest you create a ticket through https://trello.com/contact so we could look further into it. We'd need links to specific boards where this issue occurs, links to the cards created unexpectedly, and the list of your active Automation rules.
Hope we can get it resolved soon!
