So basically I work with a bunch of 3rd party advertisers/suppliers, and we book year long packages with them for multiple things. No 2 packages are the same and each have their own due dates.

How I've organised the board now is each package is a card, and utilising checklists for each individual item within the package and due dates for when each item is due with the supplier.

What I am trying to figure out, is how I can automate it using Butler/ Trello Automations so that once a checklist item due date is set, the card due date changes to match the due date item on the checklist item that has a due date coming up (e.g., if I have something due tomorrow, make the card due tomorrow)

Is that at all possible? Or is there another way to get something like this that I haven't seen before in Automation...

Thanks in advanced!

Hi @catalina_lu

As it stands there is n

I have been asking for this exact functionality in due dates for AAAAAAAAGGGGEESSS but despite it being a relatively simple thing to add, it has not happened yet and I'm not holding my breath.

There is a couple of ways to do it, you can use a power-up like Placker, which has advanced capabilities with checklists and its own automation engine.   It is a paid 3rd party power-up though, so may not be the solution you are looking for.

The other option is to use an external automation tool, like Make (make.com) or Zapier

My personal preference is Make, for me it is far more flexible and powerful for Trello. It is a bit of a learning curve though.

Zapier is easier but more limited and rigid in what it does with Trello.

If you are interested and sign up for Make, let me know and I can share you the automation template that does exactly what you want above
