Attached files no longer accessible

I've uploaded pdfs and photos onto various cards in different boards and now these files are no longer accessible. Instead, when I try to open them I receive a wall of code. 
I can download them but I will only receive the first page of the document, and nothing more. Some of these documents are crucial. 

I need Atlassian to fix this.
